Mood: Bummed
I don't know what my major malfunction is, but I've been stuck in a reading rut. Not necessarily a bad thing, I just keep turning to Shreve and I keep getting the same result - I'm sad and emotionally drained after reading her books. I get emotionally involved with her characters and their situations. I'm upset with their choices but at the same time I can't stop reading the book. Themes of infidelity and long lost love - true love unrealized run through this tightly woven storyline.
